Update on my goals for the week
Well, if my baby would sleep, I could write. But she evidently heard I had made big plans to get some things done and so she has decided to wake me up 3 and 4 times a night. Oh, well! I will get there...I will.
1) YA book - (working title - Who my father really is)
2) Novel - (working title - Choices)
3) Childrens' book - (The color of a carrot)
4) Childrens' book - (Molly's family tree)
Live Deliberately
This is my new mantra. I have always lived in the moment, never thinking my decisions through, never wondering how each choice might alter my future. No more. It's time to focus and start marking some things off of my list (you know the one). It's the list everyone has written at one time or another. I know mine by heart. It hasn't changed since I first wrote it decades ago.
DECADES?!
Okay, then. Let's see what I can do...
What I want most of all...
To have a stronger relationship with God
For my daughters to be safe, healthy, and happy
To write every day and get my words published
THOSE ARE THE BIG THREE
Then comes...
To work hard, save money, and become financially independant
To move to the coast
Finish school and obtain my Accounting and Business degrees
To have real, healthy relationships
To take better care of myself, both physically and emotionally
About me...
I am afraid of the dark, loud noises, spiders, clowns, water, heights, public speaking, and the list goes on and on and on.
I am allergic to cooking, cleaning, exercise, and being social...I simply haven't been diagnosed by a doctor yet.
I believe in God, Jesus, Heaven, and Angels...always have, always will.
I save turtles that I see attempting to cross the road. Dangerous, yes, but it is somewhat comforting knowing how I am going to die.
In my opinion, anyone who harms an animal should be put away for life.
My grandfather passed away 30 years ago, yet my heart still shatters every time I think about him.
My oldest daughter is my best friend...hands down.
My youngest daughter is what I least expected at this point in my life, but she has fit right in.
Somewhere deep within me, I still believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny, fairies, and all the rest.
When choosing a book to read, I read the first sentence, then the dedication, the acknowledgements' page, and, finally, I look at the author's picture...in that order. If, after all that, I'm still interested, I read the book.
Keep believing, it will happen.:)
